DIGNIFIED CREMATION SERVICES
Through arrangements with the funeral home, cremations are professionally and respectfully conducted here on our premises. The Woodlawn Crematory serves more than 2,400 families annually by providing dignified cremation services. Cremations are performed by professionals who are certified by CANA (Cremation Association of North America). Our crematory follows strict procedures to support proper identification from transfer of the deceased to to final disposition. Our concierge service provides delivery service to local funeral homes providing peace of mind to families.
In some cases, due to personal, cultural or religious preference, families desire to observe the cremation process. Our on-site crematory allows for private viewing of the cremation, should the family choose this option.
Either before or after cremation, many families choose to have memorial services at their local church or funeral home. Often times, families desire to have the cremation and memorial or commital service in the same location for peace of mind or convenience. For those families who prefer to have committal services at the cemetery, Woodlawn offers the Woolworth Chapel.
The Woolworth Chapel was built in 1935 after a gracious gift from Fred and Velma Woolworth. The chapel is made of stone, featuring terrazzo marble floors, and a bell tower. The Chapel seats up to 100 people and provides a beautiful setting for services and celebrations of life. The Woolworth Chapel is available 7 days a week for services.
