For the fifth year, The Woodlawn Cemetery will host a two week summer camp experience!
At Camp Woodlawn, your child will make music and art, learn about the natural world, and explore the history of our great neighborhood and city -- in a small-group setting and with experienced and caring instructors.
And it all takes place on our beautiful 400-acre campus, just a short walk from most of Woodlawn Heights.
Camp activities will include plenty of outdoor time, scavenger hunts, map reading activities, arts and crafts, reading workshops, tree identification walks, and more!
Camp will take place every weekday from 9am to 4pm.
First session will begin July 8th and end July 19th.
Second session will begin July 22nd and end August 2nd.
***CAMPERS MAY ONLY ATTEND 1 SESSION***
Registration is open to children entering grades 1 through 7 in the 2019/2020 school year.
A fee of $300 per camper will apply for a 2 week session.
Campers will learn about notables like Nellie Bly, the journalist known for her record breaking round the world trip in 72 days in 1889, learn how to identify tree types from Woodlawn Arboretum's collection, and be inspired by Woodlawn's art and architecture in regular craft activities.
Each camper must be registered separately.
