Mushroom Foraging with The New York Mycological Society
Registration is closed for this event

Our 400 acres are known to house many plants and animals, but did you know they’re also teeming with mushrooms in the autumn months?

Come hone your urban foraging skills with The New York Mycological Society as they guide you through how to search for and enjoy different edible fungi types.

Everyone is welcome! Non-members are asked to contribute $5 to the Mycological Society.

In return experienced members will assist newcomers with locating and identifying mushrooms.

Advance registration is not required.

Foragers are asked to bring their own knife, basket or paper bags to collect mushrooms.

The group meets at 10am by the Conservancy building, and after a brief orientation departs into the grounds.

Everyone meets back at the Conservancy by 1pm and the day's finds are reviewed.
