Would you walk 200 miles (in a skirt!) for something you believed in?
The dedication and literally long journey of Women's Suffrage "pilgrims" is brought to life in a new chamber piece with spoken dialogue and images based on the personal letters and photographs of these fascinating women, the centennial of whose achievements we are celebrating in 2020.
Join members of the Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble (flute, harp and strings) and composer Joelle Wallach as they perform "Suffrage Signatures"
Many of these groundbreaking suffragists are buried at Woodlawn, the memory whom is alive and well, thanks to ongoing research and outreach to living relatives by the Woodlawn Conservancy
The event is FREE, but registration is required.
