Cemetery Records: A Key for Your Genealogy Research

Genealogical_tree_BW_thumbnail_copyIn celebration of Black History Month, Andrea Ramsey, a long time member of the Friends of Woodlawn and chair of the Caribbean research group of the the Jean Sampson Scott Greater New York Chapter of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society, will conduct a workshop on researching African American and Afro-Carribean heritage using cemetery records. 

Join Andrea Ramsey and Susan Olsen, Woodlawn’s Director of Historical Services, to learn how burial and memorial records can help as you unravel your family’s story. 

This FREE event will take place in the Jerome Building of The Woodlawn Cemetery, easily accessed via the Woodlawn stop on the #4 subway train.
