On a picture perfect day, with temperatures in the 80s and not a cloud in the sky, about three dozen participants took to their bikes for the first ever bike ride through the cemetery. Riders enjoyed a five mile trip on a course that included stops at many Woodlawn’s significant features: the Revolutionary War Redoubt overlooking Gun Hill Road; our Jazz greats; the Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz; several Great Trees of New York, Mayor LaGuardia, Herman Melville; the Woodlawn Lake, Jay Gould, George M. Cohan and Robert Moses. By far the most sites visited on any one tour.
