The Genealogy and Research Fees set by The Woodlawn Cemetery are based upon the cost of staff time involved in locating documents, pulling and refilling records, copying records and mailing compiled information to the researcher. The fees listed below are effective as of February 1, 2004 and were approved by the New York State Cemetery Board. Genealogy Fees:
Research Fees: Researchers requesting access to correspondence, interment orders, foundation orders, architectural plans or company ledgers are charged $44.00/hour for staff time involved in locating documents, pulling and refilling records, copying records and mailing compiled information to the researcher. Researchers requesting access to correspondence, interment
orders, foundation orders, architectural plans or company ledgers are
to put their request in writing. Requests for information should be
sent to Admin@thewoodlawncemetery.org
or mailed to Administration, The Woodlawn Cemetery, Webster Avenue and
E. 233rd Street, Based upon the request, the cemetery will provide an estimate for the work requested; documents will not be pulled until the researcher approves the fee estimate.
